Goal Setting Is A Lifelong Continuous Process 10.18.2021 →
What many people don't realize is that they will never find long-term fulfillment in achieving any outer goal. No matter what you accomplish in the story, you will always sense a hunger for more. This is how the system is rigged. The reason why it is called the rat race, is because people are running like crazy as though they are trapped inside an eternal hamster wheel. The true value of goal setting is not in achieving the actual goals, but in who we become in the process by achieving those goals.

Your Destiny Is To Find Your Own Direction In Life 10.16.2021 →
Throughout my offshore career, I got to meet a huge variety of employees. What the true experts had in common, was that they seemed to appreciate and enjoy their occupation more than the people working there just for the money. They were devoted in becoming masterful at their craft, as the whole crew was reliant upon their expertise. This inspired me to bring out my best self as well. Enjoyment is not in what you do, but in who you are being while you are doing what you are doing.

The Power Of Being Different 10.14.2021 →
As long as I can remember I have always felt like an outsider. In my early life I got bullied and I was also a vicious bully myself. What I regret the most and have reflected and learnt the most of, was the experience of being a bully. Once I took ownership of how I felt about being different than kids my own age, I started to appreciate everyone's uniqueness, instead of judgement of people's differences. Being different is a blessing and not a curse. Dare to be different. Successful people always stand out.

Comparison Is The Biggest Thief Of Joy 10.12.2021 →
Once you start to compare yourself with others, you are heading down a dreadful road. People have a tendency to compare the most bizarre things: Their looks, their possessions, the amount of money they have in their bank account, the cleanliness of their apartment, their effort and contribution. Even the size of their.... beard. By going down this path, you set yourself up for failure, as you will always find someone different than you. Do we have to share the same beliefs in order to be friends?

I Am Not Who You Think I Am 10.10.2021 →
There's a powerful quote from Charles Cooley: "I am not who you think I am, I am not who I think I am. I am who I think you think I am." In other words: Who we believe we are is determined by how we imagine others to perceive us. If you think other people think you are a failure, this is who you think you are. If you think they think you are confident, this will shine through your being. Try for a day to imagine that the people you meet think nice of you, and see how this affects your life experience.

Don't Take Yourself Too Seriously 10.08.2021 →
If you can't laugh at yourself you are taking yourself too seriously. I often catch myself perceiving reality to be more hostile than it actually is. In truth, the world is neutral. It's our subjective perception that determine whether we live in a hostile or friendly universe. Luckily it is possible to consciously change our perception. The first step in doing so, is by catching yourself whenever you slip into living on autopilot. By this, I mean becoming aware whenever you are not fully present in the now.

Beard Is Technically Just Pubic Hair 10.06.2021 →
Let me tell you a secret that may brighten your day, depending on whether you have facial hair or not. For the last 6 months or so, me as my ego has had a blast saving for a full grown beard and a mustache. Well, the other day I decided to remove it, as I discovered that beard is technically pubic hair. According to Dr. Bobby Buka, beard hair is composed similarly to the hair on a man's groin and armpits. I don't know about you, but this definitively changed my perception of men with facial hair.

Life Hack To Utilize More Of Your Potential 10.04.2021 →
We all have two brain hemispheres. The left part of our brain is responsible for controlling the right part of the body. It also perform tasks that have to do with logic, such as in science and mathematics. The right hemisphere coordinates the left side of the body, and perform tasks that have to do with creativity and imagination. An easy and practical way to utilize more of your inherent potential, is by strengthening the connection between the two brain parts, by doing cross laterals of any kind.

Befriend Your Imagination And Creativity 10.02.2021 →
Your creativity and imagination arise from the same place. They are both connected to the infinite part of you, your true self. It's impossible to use up your imagination or creativity. The more you use them, the better you get at it. It's like an ocean you dive into: The more you swim, the deeper you can dive. The ego has a tendency to worry about things you have no control of whatsoever. Your creativity and imagination on the other hand, allows you to find solutions to seemingly hopeless situations.

The Difference Between Thinking And Pondering 10.01.2021 →
It is said that the average person has about 6.000 - 60.000 thoughts per day. And of those thousands of thoughts, 95% are exactly the same thoughts as the day before. Thinking is therefore just recycled thoughts, either influenced by the past or an imagined future. These thoughts are just noise in the head, distractions and emotional reactions triggered through what you experience. Pondering, however, is when uninfluenced thoughts arise from the unknown/your imagination/your creativity.
